GEDA’s Youth Sports Grant Program to assist in off-island Jiu-Jitsu Competition.


The Guam Economic Development Authority presented a check to Team Purebred Pan Kids as part of GEDA’s Youth Sports Grant Program established to assist various youth sports groups around the island.
 
Team Purebred will participate in the 2014 International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation Pan Kids championship scheduled for Sunday, February 16, 2014 at the Cal State-Dominguez campus in Carson, California.
 
The Pan Kids Championship is considered the highest competition for kids in jiu-jitsu and brings together hundreds of youth competitors throughout the U.S., Brazil, Canada and Mexico.
 
Team Purebred has brought home 1st place division medals in Overall Team Divisions, Teen Divisions and the Junior Divisions over the last several years of competition.
 
GEDA Administrator, Henry Taitano presented the check to the team stating: “GEDA is proud to help our local youth sports programs by providing at least some grant assistance for off-island competitions and events.  We wish all the participants a successful competition at the Pan Kids Jiu-Jitsu Championship.”
