GEDA PRESENTS FIRST LOAN CHECK FOR FARMER'S BRIDGE LOAN; DEADLINE FOR LOAN APPLICATION: FEBRUARY 7, 2014.

GEDA Administrator, Henry Taitano presents a loan check to local farmer, Mrs. Veronica "Vicky" Alben.    The Farmer’s Bridge Loan Program was authorized to provide up to a $20,000.00 loan to local farmers who suffered crop damages as a result of recent storms. The terms of the program can provide no interest payments for the first 6 months and no prepayment penalties for qualified applicants. The Department of Agriculture must certify those farmers who suffered crop losses prior to them applying for the program with GEDA, pursuant to the rules promulgated in Public Law 22- 64.
 
The deadline to apply for the Farmer’s Bridge Loan is February 7, 2014.
